The Booster Club was organized in 1985  to boost the Buffalo baseball club and promote professional baseball in Western New York.  The Club encourages the spirit of good sportsmanship at home and away games and good welfare between the team and fans.  Membership is open to anyone who is willing to support these objectives.

A minimum of 5 meetings are held each year.  A guest speaker, usually a player new to Buffalo, is available for questions at 3 of the meetings which are held in the Pub at the Park at Sahlen Field, home of the Bisons.  Timely newsletters are sent to all members by email or US Mail consisting of meeting and event reviews, team news, and announcements and information concerning future events.  Any paid member who attends at least half of the scheduled events in a calendar year is allowed to vote in organization elections and hold office.

Members are actively encouraged to participate in Club events and contribute ideas and opinions.  Some of our events support non-profit organizations.

Each year, the Booster Club organizes at least two events that enable the membership to get together on a one-on-one basis with the players and coaches and their family members.  These events have included a Batting Practice event which is held on the field or, depending on weather, at the batting cages on the Clubhouse level.  A second event is an hors d'oeuvre Reception for the wives, friends and children of the players.  The most popular event, usually held towards the end of the season, is a buffet dinner in the Pub at the Park at which each player/coach is given a gift of appreciation.

The Booster Club has an open line of communication with the Bisons organization.  This provides us with up-to-date information about the Bisons and access to certain non-public Bisons functions.
